Commission Embroideries

Thank you for your interest in commissioning an embroidered artwork by me.

My commissioned pieces are created in my signature monochrome line style. The work is delicate, graphic and minimal and suited to depicting sentimental objects, or portraits (pet and humans!)

Each piece is individually hand embroidered by me, making every commission a unique artwork.

Due to the nature of the finished piece, commercial frames won’t house my artwork as I mount my work onto 12mm ply wood. Because of this all of my commissioned pieces come framed in my Tassie Oak frames that I build in house.

Below you’ll find some example images of pieces from my most recent SALA exhibition.

Because the artwork is interpreted through line rather than reproduced literally, some photographs may translate better than others. I’ll discuss your reference images with you before confirming the commission.

Sizes & Pricing

I offer three standard sizes, and can create pieces with or without a background. All of my example images show pieces with no background, but if you’d like me to include elements of the background in your reference images, I can absolutely do that!

A6 - Approx. 105 × 148 mm
Without background: $160

With background included: $250

A5 - Approx. 148 × 210 mm
Without background: $250

With background included: $400

A4 - Approx. 210 × 297 mm
Without background: $400

With background included: $650

Custom Sizes

Custom dimensions are also available, for example your reference image may be better suited to a square. Pricing will be discussed individually depending on the size and complexity of the work.

A postage fee of $20 will also be charged on top of the commissioned piece

How it Works

Step 1 - ENQUIRE

Send me an email/message with:

  • The size you’re interested in

  • Your reference photograph(s)

  • Colour you’re thinking for the background and stitching

  • Any relevant details about what you’d like included
If you’re commissioning a piece as a gift, feel free to let me know the occasion and your desired timeframe.

Step 2 - DISCUSSION & QUOTE

I’ll review your reference images and confirm whether they will work well with my embroidery style. The quality and composition of your reference image can make a big difference to the final artwork.

For the best result, please provide:

  • A clear, high-resolution photograph

  • Good lighting

  • A subject that is reasonably easy to distinguish

  • An image you have permission to use

If you’re unsure whether your photograph will work, send it through and I’m happy to have a look!

Step 3 - APPROVAL

Once we’ve agreed on the design and price, I’ll confirm your commission and begin preparing the artwork.

At least a 50% deposit is required to secure the commission. You’re welcome to pay in full upfront if you’d prefer.

Before I start stitching, I’ll show you my embroidery pattern for your approval. Here you’re welcome to make any small changes.

Step 4 - EMBROIDERY

Your piece is then individually hand embroidered by me.

Please allow approximately 4 weeks for completion. Larger or more intricate commissions may require additional time.

I’ll provide an estimated completion date when your commission is confirmed.

For gifts, I recommend allowing plenty of time, particularly during busy periods.

Step 5 - COMPLETION

Once your embroidery is finished, I’ll contact you to arrange postage and remaining payment if required.
